The Urban Design Forum announced today that James (“Jamie”) von Klemperer has been elected board president, effective immediately. Jamie succeeds Hugh Hardy, who served as president for two years before his unexpected passing in March 2017.

Beginning this year, UDF will invite 20 individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to building thriving, equitable and livable cities to become Forefront Fellows.

The Forum + Institute for Urban Design announced that it has changed its name to Urban Design Forum, effective immediately. The new name represents the merger of the Forum for Urban Design and the Institute for Urban Design, which joined operations in March 2014.
