Join us for a full-day convening on the Interborough Express (IBX) corridor, with site visits, panel discussions, and breakout sessions at Brooklyn Army Terminal.
The MTA’s IBX, a new light rail connecting Bay Ridge to Jackson Heights, presents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to reshape New York City’s transit-adjacent neighborhoods. New transportation capacity opens the door not only to housing growth, but to transformations of the streets, open spaces, and public realm along the corridor.
Speakers include MTA Construction & Development President Jamie Torres Springer, New York City Planning Chair Sideya Sherman, and more. Attendees will participate in cross-agency conversations, small-group tours at key nodes along the corridor, and facilitated breakout sessions drawing on the Forum’s network of practitioners, policy experts, and civic leaders.
