The Forum is celebrating another successful year of programming and marking the 400th anniversary of New York City’s founding with our annual Action Dinner. 

This year, the Forum and our partners are launching markets, festivals and public realm projects across four boroughs from Soundview to Sunnyside to Staten Island. We mobilized members to dream up climate action beyond Local Law 97, invested in rising leaders to imagine spaces where youth can thrive, and launched a new fellowship focused on what New York City can learn from the world. 

Our action dinner will reflect on the 400th anniversary of New York City’s colonization. To mark the occasion, we’ll invite leaders from our community, including Dr. Mitchell Katz (NYC Health + Hospitals), Deputy Mayor Meera Joshi (Office of the Mayor of New York City), Shanna Sabio (GrowHouse NYC) and Kelly Vilar (Staten Island Urban Center), to reflect on the city’s history—both the difficult and the beautiful—and make a wish for its future.
