Shachi is a community-centric urban designer dedicated to the revitalization of neighborhoods and public places. Her work has advanced green design, reinvigorated public spaces as vital hubs of social life, and championed the unmet needs of disadvantaged communities across the NY tri-state area. Shachi has a keen interest in influencing policy through design and is co-chair of the AIA Planning and Urban Design Committee, VP of Intergovernmental Affairs for the APA NY Metro chapter, and visiting faculty at Cornell AAP.
