Melissa Sáenz Gordon is an award-winning multimedia producer and cultural worker based in Queens, New York. Her work sits at the intersection of audiovisual storytelling, digital strategy, and urban planning. In 2020, she cofounded Soft Power Vote, a civic engagement initiative working to make voting more accessible in NYC, with informative content about government structures, community events and connecting the dots of how creative expression is an essential tool for social change. Soft Power Vote is currently a member of NEW INC, a cultural incubator of the New Museum. As a public and multimodal transportation advocate, Melissa is interested in deepening her belief that transit hubs are also vibrant social spaces that have the capacity to foster community pride and camaraderie.
