Mehnaj Tabassum is an Associate Principal at Grimshaw, where she leads the design of complex transportation and civic infrastructure projects across North America. Her work includes Newark Liberty International Airport Terminal A, the Penn Station Expansion, Charleston International Airport, and the Sustainability Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai. Working across public agencies, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams has shaped her interest in how infrastructure can become a catalyst for civic identity, belonging, and equitable public space. A native New Yorker, Mehnaj is passionate about creating places that strengthen communities and reflect the diverse stories of the cities they serve.
