Kavya Shankar is co-founder & COO of Trust Neighborhoods, a national nonprofit that helps neighborhoods fight renter displacement by setting up their own rental housing portfolios, called mixed-income neighborhood trusts (MINTs). Prior to Trust Neighborhoods, Kavya helped young people get more civically active through helping start The Obama Foundation and worked on economic policy at the Obama White House. She started her career at McKinsey and Company, focused on economic development.
