John Surico is a journalist, researcher and educator, focused on cities and how they're changing. He teaches cities-focused reporting at New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute, and serves as the Senior Fellow for Climate & Opportunity at Center for an Urban Future, one of the city's leading policy organizations. Closer to home, he chairs the 31st Ave Open Street Collective, a volunteer nonprofit that facilitates a pop-up public space every weekend from April to December in Astoria, Queens.
