John is an urban designer, strategist, and visual storyteller focused on creating inclusive, imaginative spaces rooted in the unique spirit of place. He began his career in cinema, working on film sets in Hollywood before earning a master’s in city planning from MIT. After running his own collaborative studio and leading design and creative strategy on large-scale resiliency and sustainable transportation plans at Arup, he joined NYC Department of City Planning, where he currently serves as the Special Study Urban Designer for a citywide study to expand waterfront public access.
