Francesca Bastianini, co-founder, and principal of Sighte Studio, integrates education, research, and community engagement into her design practice. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, she pursued Theatre and Psychology at Smith College, followed by a Masters in Psychology from Lesley University. Francesca graduated from Parsons' MFA lighting program in 2010. Beyond Sighte Studio, she serves as part-time faculty at SCE and actively participates in the New York lighting industry. She volunteers with Equity in Lighting, Designers Lighting Forum of New York (DLFNY), and the Women in Lighting Project
