Rooted and continuously molded by lessons from the so-called lands of HTX/MX/NYC as teachers and homes, Daniela Castillo (elle/ella, they/she) brings deep love and energy for the expansive possibilities that live within the intersections of urban/environmental/multi-species ecologies. As the Program Director of the Green Light District at El Puente, Dani is always motivated and driven by processes of collective visioning and world-building. With on-the-ground experience mutual aid coordinating, organizing with neighbors, and stewarding green spaces/gardens locally, Dani remains grounded and guided by movements that prioritize Solidarity, Imagination, Community Care, Radical Interdependence and Cooperation towards Liberatory horizons.
