Program Manager
Burkina Morgan is the Program Manager for the NYC Department of Transportation’s Open Streets program, where she oversees community partnerships, program operations, and initiatives that expand public realm access across the five boroughs. She brings a background in community health and behavioral change communication, grounding the program’s work in approaches that elevate community voice, public wellbeing, and neighborhood resilience.
Burkina’s experience spans international public health, local government, and community reinvestment and infrastructure initiatives. She has worked with UNICEF, the UK’s National Health Service, and Thrive LDN, and she holds an MPH from New York University. She is particularly interested in how the built environment shapes social connection, community health, and equitable access to opportunity.
