Maria Lombera is a real estate and urban development professional focused on the intersection of public-private development and culture. Raised in Santiago, Chile, she began her career at The Wing, a women-focused community and workspace, where she developed an eye for how the built environment shapes culture. After earning her MS in Real Estate Development from NYU, she joined the NYC Economic Development Corporation as a Senior Associate on the Real Estate Transaction Services team, where she structures complex public-private transactions that turn city-owned land into community assets. Her active projects include a 25,00-seat MLS stadium at Willets Point, a city-backed grocery initiative, and the future expansion of the Whitney Museum.
