Allan founded Crescere Collaborative, a community development practice, after 20 years working as an architect and planner, focusing focus on racial equity, social justice, and community resilience. Allan’s interests lay at the intersection of self-determination through community-first design, participatory planning, and innovative, restorative funding models, supporting clients across three overlapping areas - inclusive housing; equitable community development and engagement; and the just transition to a sustainable and resilient future. Before founding Crescere, Allan achieved measurable impact working with public entities and community based nonprofits at organizations including the Centre for Public Impact (a BCG foundation), Hester Street, Breaking Ground, and Enterprise Community Partners.
