“The sharing economy is taking us away from corporations that hire people as full-time employees, and toward platforms that are hybrids between organizations and markets, and that have a fundamentally different relationship with providers, where it moves from ‘I work for you full-time in exchange for money’ to ‘I run my small business through you’ sort of like a micro-franchisee.
